Karen actively supports clients, helping them to realize their real estate goals while improving their lifestyle through effective strategizing, negotiating, networking, organizing and listening. Bringing the highest possible price for the homes that she has listed, finding the best home for her clients and going above and beyond for the clients are Karen’s focus.
Her experience in sales and management create opportunities for her clients. Karen started her career in real estate achieving the rank of top Realtor in her company in her first full year. Over the next 35 years in real estate, she rose to be senior vice president and managing broker for Cornish & Carey residential real estate in four offices: Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Gatos. When C&C was purchased, Karen became Coldwell Banker’s senior vice president and regional manager for its Silicon Valley offices; leading over one thousand brokers, sales executives and staff in its eighteen offices stretching from Palo Alto to Gilroy. Later, she managed the two Coldwell Banker offices in Los Gatos. Furthering her experience, Karen was a leader of Alain Pinel Realtors, Los Gatos.
During the entire time, Karen with her husband Steve raised 3 children. Karen also became a Director on several Boards, including Girls on the Run (athletic and educational program) and Pop Warner Football and Cheer. She also instructed for volunteer organizations, a few listed below, and was the head coach for a competitive youth soccer league.
Currently, Karen is the treasurer for the MLS Listing Service, holds leadership positions and is on the board of directors for the California Association of Realtors and the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors, and is a Past President. She is also an Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor for the National Ski Patrol and a patroller at Northstar California, a team leader and volunteer of the Year for the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Departments’ Disaster Aid Response Team (DART) and a first aid instructor with the Industrial Emergency Council.
